Architectural
Archive
Over
more than a decade spent in the documentation of modern architecture in
Australia, Simon Reeves has compiled an extensive archive of primary
and secondary research material. This includes copies
of
memorabilia borrowed from architects and their families,
such as drawings, photographs, correspondence, press clippings, etc. The archive is
supplemented by Simon's own correspondence and interviews with
architects (many since deceased) as well as their associates,
colleagues, clients and families. If you require more detailed information, please feel free to contact us for a quote.
Recently, material on loan from architects or their
families has been digitally scanned to ensure its long-term
preservation. Amongst those whose careers are represented in this digital archive are James
Earle, Robert Eggleston, Emily Gibson, Walter Burley Griffin, Anthony
Hayden, Haydn Phillips, Brian O'Connor, Roy Prentice, Keith Reid,
Muriel Stott and Wystan Widdows. A
full listing of those represented in the digital archive, and some
of the individual documents included therein, is available here.
In
addition, paper-based biographical files are maintained on these and many
other local architects, architectural firms and landscape
designers. Click here for a list.
